Cheer Code of Conduct

Attendance is important to the success of the Cheer Squads.

Please consider our attendance policy before you commit to registering your athlete for our program.

Three (3) unexcused absences will be allowed from the start date of the season to the last event of the season. NO absences are allowed 14 days before an event. An absence within 14 days of an event will result in not competing at that event and may affect routine spots. ALL absences must be documented in writing via our absentee/vacation forms. An email, text, group chat message, etc. will not count.

Excused Absences:

-School events that affect grades

-Contagious illness or injury with a physician's note (athletes

who are “not feeling well” or have minor injuries are still

expected to attend and activity will be limited.)

-Death of a family member

Unexcused Absences:

-Non-contagious illness, non-graded school events,

birthdays, family gatherings, no transportation, other sports At YYTFC.

We expect all players to be fully committed to their team, attending all scheduled practices, games, and team events. Consistency is key to developing skills and ensuring team success.

Dress Code & Uniform – Proper attire required for practices and competitions.

To maintain a professional and unified look, all cheerleaders are required to follow the official dress code for both practices and competitions.

✔️ Practice Attire: Comfortable athletic wear, cheer shoes, and hair secured in a ponytail.

✔️ Competition Uniform: Official team uniform, designated bow, cheer shoes, and no jewelry.

✔️ Weather Considerations: Additional layers may be required for outdoor events, but must match team colors.

✔️ Grooming & Accessories: Hair must be neatly tied back, and no excessive makeup or accessories allowed.

Following the dress code ensures safety, uniformity, and professionalism during all events. Let’s look sharp and cheer strong! 📣✨

By following these expectations, we build a stronger, more unified team that works together toward success! 💪📣

Safety Guidelines: Keeping Our Athletes Safe

The safety of our cheerleaders is our top priority. To prevent injuries and ensure a secure environment, all athletes must follow these essential safety rules during practices, performances, and competitions.

✔️ Proper Warm-Up: Every practice begins with stretching and conditioning to prevent injuries.

✔️ Follow Instructions: Listen to coaches and spotters when learning new skills or stunts.

✔️ Safe Stunting & Tumbling: Always perform stunts with proper supervision and technique.

✔️ Appropriate Footwear & Attire: Cheer shoes and fitted practice gear must be worn at all times.

✔️ No Jewelry or Loose Items: To avoid hazards, all accessories must be removed before practice.

✔️ Stay Hydrated & Rested: Drink plenty of water and get proper rest before performances.

By following these guidelines, we ensure a safe, fun, and successful season for all our athletes! 🏆📣
